Founder & Minister

Robin Dziedziniewicz

Before 2019, I owned and operated my own HVAC business. After a serious injury, I lost not only my livelihood but also my sense of direction. What followed was a rapid descent into addiction — at the height of it, I was consuming 400–500 mg of oxycodone every day. When my business was gone, I turned to selling heroin to support my addiction, a lifestyle I remained trapped in for two years.

In 2020, I was arrested for distribution. While out on bond, I received a second charge in May 2021. I faced a crossroads: accept a ten-year prison sentence or commit to drug court. I chose drug court. The journey required three years of accountability, hard work, humility, and complete surrender. In 2024, I proudly graduated from the program.

Today, I work as a supermarket refrigeration technician. More importantly, God placed a clear calling on my life: to open a transitional living home where men walking the same road I once walked could find safety, structure, accountability, and hope. That calling became Daybreak Horizons, and we opened our doors in March 2026.

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Kindra Pipkin

Kindra Pipkin is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Daybreak Horizons. She brings both professional experience as a Behavioral Health Case Manager II and lived experience navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including a personal journey from addiction and incarceration to sustained recovery.

In 2016, Kindra began serving a 15-year sentence for drug trafficking. During her incarceration, she made the life-changing decision to pursue recovery and transform the course of her life. After serving five years, she was released in 2021 with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to helping others find the same hope and freedom she discovered. Her journey through addiction, incarceration, recovery, and reentry gives her a unique understanding of the challenges individuals face when rebuilding their lives.

Having experienced firsthand the complexities of recovery, reentry, and behavioral health challenges, Kindra understands the critical importance of stable housing, clinical support, accountability, encouragement, and a strong recovery-oriented support system. Her personal transformation, combined with her professional background in behavioral health, inspired her commitment to creating environments where individuals can heal, stabilize, and rebuild their lives.

Under her leadership, Daybreak Horizons is committed to providing more than just housing. The organization offers a structured, recovery-focused environment where residents are empowered to develop life skills, strengthen their sobriety, address co-occurring mental health needs, restore relationships, and pursue meaningful, independent lives. Kindra believes every person deserves compassion, dignity, and the opportunity for a new beginning, regardless of their past circumstances.

Through faith, perseverance, professional expertise, and servant leadership, Kindra continues to inspire others by demonstrating that sustained recovery is possible and that every life holds value and potential. She believes the most powerful testimony is a transformed life, and she is dedicated to walking alongside others as they discover that their past does not define their future.
